First Lines Fridays: April 28th, 2016

Nothing says TGIF like a First Lines Fridays post! Today we are featuring one of my all time favorite books one that fused a dystopian/post apocalyptic society with fantasy and horror and featured one of my favorite kick ass heroines of all time. Intrigued?

Each week we will pick a YA or NA book from out shelves and copy the first line, in an attempt to acquaint you with some new reads or reintroduce you to old favorites. We will have an accompanying Instagram pic to go along with our choices each week so check out #firstlinesfridays!

First Lines Fridays is a weekly feature for book lovers hosted by Wandering Words. What if instead of judging a book by its cover, its author or its prestige, we judged it by its opening lines? If you want to join the meme be sure to check out Wandering Words, and here are her rules below.

The rules:

  • Pick a book off your shelf (or your current read) and open to the first page.
  • Copy the first few lines, but don’t give anything else about the book away just yet – you need to hook the reader first.
  • Finally…reveal the book!

Ironically, since the attacks, the sunsets have been glorious.

The book is Angelfall (Penryn and the End of Days #1) by Susan Ee. This book was released back in August of 2012 and is the first in a three book series. It is creepy, fast paced and will leave you on the edge of your seat. Don’t believe me? Check out all the fantastic reviews on Goodreads and if you haven’t read this one add to your TBR now.

What a fantastic feature… wondering if it is okay if we participated in the #firstlinesfridays as well?

YES! Please do! We are just a participant too! WanderingWords created it! She just asks that you link back to her site & give credit! You can use her graphics like we did and put up the “about” section! Please join in! I love this one & have so much fun each week building the posts & instagram!
