In what can only be described as one of the most anticipated casting announcements in recent memory, Finnick Odair has finally been cast. In a role rumored to be going to everyone from Armie Hammer to Garrett Hedlund a virtual unknown, Sam Claflin has nabbed the coveted role. Claflin a 26 year old British born actor was seen most recently in Snow White and the Huntsmen where he played William opposite Kristen Stewart’s Snow.  So now that the cat is out of the bag, what do you think of Lionsgate’s choice? Do you think Sam will make a good Finnick? Let us know in the comments.

Well I am seriously on the fence…haven’t seen any of his previous roles…and in *my* head he is not *my* Finnick…but then again I was skeptical of JLaw but I am now seriously in mad love with her!

He’s not *MY* Finnick either. But I also didn’t think Katniss would be Katniss and I had my foot in my mouth with the quickness.

I wasn’t really into him as Prince William in SWATH (was so Team Huntsman because Chris Hemsworth is fecking gorgeous) so I don’t think he’ll meet my sex-beach-god standard for Finnick. I see him as Finnick & I think “Meh, couldn’t they have gotten someone better?”
